WHY A CHURCH CAFÉ
The quaint 4th Street Café which has a place in San Antonio history, is the ONLY distinctively Christian restaurant in San Antonio. The Café operates much like any other restaurant, but with a difference that makes it a special place to eat. This non-profit Café is run by paid staff and volunteers who serve our customers in varied ways. The Café’s receipts support its operation and expenses. Tips help to support feeding for the homeless in programs and ministries with which the church affiliates.
WHO ARE OUR CUSTOMERS?
You as a customer become an active part, by providing support to help serve the homeless in downtown San Antonio. The Café is open to everyone (business people on their lunch hour, tourists, conventioneers, people from across the community and around the world) who want good food (served fast and friendly), in a caring and quiet place away from the hurry and stress of their work environment.
MISSION STATEMENT
To reflect the love of Christ through staff and volunteers and to minister to the patrons of the 4th Street Café by providing physical nourishment for the body and spiritual nourishment for the soul.
