No charitable organization does more important work than your own local church. At First Baptist Church of San Antonio, we work to spread the good news of God's love through our different ministries. Many of our members and friends desire to make special gifts which will make a lasting contribution to that work. One way this can be done is through the First Baptist Church of San Antonio Foundation.

The First Baptist Church of San Antonio Foundation, Inc. was organized in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to provide a means to receive, invest, and disperse testamentary gifts that are made to the Church. The Foundation is designed to permanently invest these gifts, and use only the income and growth for the ministries and maintenance of facilities of the Church. In this way, the Foundation provides an opportunity for our members and friends to make a perpetual gift to the ongoing work of the Church.

Periodically during the year, the Foundation will sponsor events which provide all interested persons a special opportunity to learn how the First Baptist Church Foundation can help our Church develop and support its ministries and facilities. Each year, the Foundation and the History Committee of the church co-sponsor the Founder's Day activities in order to emphasize the history and legacy of the Church, recognize members who have made life-long contributions to the Church, and recognize testamentary gifts which have been made to the Church.

The Foundation makes it possible for members and friends of the church to participate

in establishing an enduring legacy for First Baptist Church of San Antonio.

Capital Gifts -- Gifts of cash, real estate, stocks, or bonds may be given, and tax savings may apply.

Planned Giving -- Planned, deferred gifts may be made by naming "First Baptist Church of San Antonio Foundation, Inc." as a designated beneficiary in your:

Last Will and Testament
Trust
Gift Annuity
Life Insurance Policy
Annuity Contract
Retirement Plan

The Foundation will assist you in establishing any of these deferred gifts.

Memorial and Honor Gifts -- Gifts may be made to honor a friend or family member during his or her lifetime or made in memory of a friend or family member upon his or her death. Unless designated for a specific purpose, your gift to the Foundation will be invested and a portion of the income and growth will be used to support the ministries and facilities of First Baptist Church of San Antonio. The Board of Directors has chosen the Baptist Foundation of Texas to assist with its investment responsibilities.

Of course, we must always be good stewards and maintain our day-to-day church budget through tithes and offerings. At the same time, however, we can be good stewards for the future.
