family of First Baptist Church.
Whatever your age, stage or status in life, see below for the niche that fits:

The Launch – singles ministry with 18-20 Somethings & some 30’s – Led by John Bell: john@fbcsa.org and taught by John Bell and Craig Bird. This energetic group gathers on Sunday mornings at 10:50 in Wilson Chapel with the other Venture Sunday School classes for Praise and Worship, then separately on the 2nd floor of Webb Hall, Room 206, for Bible Study. The Launch meets periodically on other nights for study and support, and on several weekends for service, outreach and fun.

SA L.I.F.E. (Single Adults Living In Faith Everyday) - a welcoming, highly encouraging group of mid-30s to mid-40s taught by Wayne and Susan Kaminski. You'll find them on Sundays in Wolfson House at 9-9:30 am for coffee and fellowship, then devotion and teaching from 9:30 to 10:30. The group also gathers informally each Monday evening at a class member's home and holds spiritual and recreational fellowship activities at various locations at other times.
Prime Solos - Christ followers in the prime of life (~ late 40's to early 60's) who share a mostly professional, current career experience. These committed and engaging Single Adults meet at 9:30 am Sunday mornings on the first floor of West Hall, Room 161. You'll enjoy stimulating, practical Bible Study and great fellowship with this delightful group. Come early for coffee and visitin'. Note: Prime Solos are temporarily not meeting. We hope to restart this class in the new Sunday School year beginning Aug 22, 2010.
FAB Singles (FAB, for “Forties and Better”) - an energetic, diverse and caring bunch that is particularly inclusive and supportive. The FABS core is organized around Sunday morning Bible Study on the 2nd floor of West Hall. They gather from 9-9:30 for camaraderie and coffee, 9:30-9:45 for some music, info and devotions; then classes for 40's/50's and 60's+ age groups. The FABS are deep into real-life topics; serving ministries; and lots of fun trips, dinners and outings both together and by peer group. See the Sunday A.M. Bible Studies link for details.
Side-by-Side Ladies Note: this class is temporarily on hold awaiting the new Sunday School year beginning Aug 22, 2010. A new teacher has graciously and prayerfully accepted the calling to lead next term, and is looking forward to walking "side-by-side" with you. Stay tuned for more details. Meanwhile, read the below description and pray about your role in this supportive group who will study the Scripture together.
Are you a single woman who feels alone? We welcome you to journey with us and the Lord as we share our hearts and needs while looking at what the Bible says on specific topics and also following the core curriculum. You will enjoy a time of openness to share fears and joys with other women who have been through similar experiences and can join in fervent prayer for courage to take steps of faith in facing new adventures. Allow us the opportunity to walk with you side-by-side, hand-in-hand, and heart-in-heart. We'll meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 with the FABS Singles Department, then in a separate class in West 262B.
Contact Rick Evans for more info on SA L.I.F.E., Prime Solos, Side-by-Side, or the FABS: rick@fbcsa.org
All groups are woven into church-wide programs of small group “Circles of Six”
study cells and Heart-2-Heart support groups for specific life challenges.

FBC Ministry with Single Adults is about embracing people where they are in their spiritual lives and daily living and walking along side them toward completeness in Christ. We’re a group that covers the gamut of "singleness": never-been-married, divorced, abandoned, widowed, career-oriented, retired, single parent, financially challenged, professionally successful, culturally blessed, recently displaced, etc. You’re not alone in your journey!

We are decidedly not a dating service, and have no requirements or expectations for academic, intellectual, career, financial or any other qualifications other than a desire to
learn to live life to the fullest. Come join us and find:
Joy – one that comes from a love for the Lord and a hope in His promise of abundant
life NOW as well as later,

Community – a sincere bond of individual and collective understanding through
caring for each other’s spiritual and practical needs, and

Meaning – personal worth through Jesus Christ and service to His world.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
Hebrews 10:24
Discover God’s greatest blessings for your life. We look forward to meeting you!
