Women's Leadership Development Workshop

Women on Mission

Supporting the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ at home and around the world through education about missionaries, their work and needs; prayer; participation in mission activities; and giving.

Friendship International
Reaching out to international women in the community; providing them with opportunities to learn conversational English, to gain a better understanding of American and local culture, to develop creative skills, and to make new friends from all over the world.

Women’s Bible Study
Offering opportunities for women of all ages to delve into God’s Word under the leadership of qualified presenters and local facilitators through small and large group study, home study assignments, and group participation. Courses are offered twice a year and/or at other specified times.

First Touch
Ministering to expectant mothers in our church by providing on-going contact during the pregnancy, prayer support, information about the church’s preschool ministry, delivery of a meal shortly after the baby’s birth, and a gift bag which includes a New Testament with the baby’s name imprinted on it.

One by One
Mentoring program which equips mentors to come alongside expectant and new mothers to encourage a healthy bond between mother and child by teaching good parenting skills, being a supportive friend, and encouraging spiritual growth.

Special Events
Visioning, planning, publicizing, and coordinating special events such as conferences, service days, luncheons, and “fun” days for the women of First Baptist Church and the community.
