Sunday Morning Bible Study
Every Sunday, our birth through preschool-aged kids dive into the Word of God using the Explore the Bible curriculum
First Kids Junior
At First Kids, ministering to kids and their families is what we love to do! We are dedicated to teaching and ministering to you and your kids in a safe and fun environment. In each activity with First Kids, kids will hear and know the Word of God, as well as how to apply it to their lives.
Our First Kids Junior hallway ministers to kids from birth through pre-kindergarten through fun, age-appropriate activities throughout the week.

First Kids Extended Wednesday Activities, 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
This time is for kids with parents or guardians involved in various extended Bible Studies or groups on Wednesday nights. Kids 3-years and younger will stay in the First Kids Junior Hallway for activities, while the 4-year-olds through fifth graders will go to the gym for activities.
First Kids Check-In
We utilize a check-in system for all activities involving kids fifth grade and younger at FBCSA.
If you have not been to our church before, you can fill this short form out before you come, or, you can fill it out when you visit.
Upon checking in to our system, parents or guardians receive a corresponding tag to their child that has matching codes. Simply give your parent pick up tag with the matching code to your child’s leader upon pick-up.
Parents Night Out
Friday, March 1
Parents Night Out is designed to provide a safe and fun atmosphere where kids will learn a bible verse, play games and do awesome activities while parents take time for themselves. An evening snack is also provided during their time with us. Parents Night Out is usually held on the first Friday of each month from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. There are occasions, because of other church activities, that the date must change. All registration payments must be received by the Sunday prior to PNO each month.
Our theme for March is "Spring – All things are new again"
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Cor. 5:17

Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization for all moms of infants through kindergartners, providing an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together.
What is MOPS?
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization for all moms of infants through kindergartners, providing an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. FBCSA MOPS exists to equip, encourage, develop, and bring moms what they want and need.
When does MOPS meet?
FBCSA MOPS will meet every second and fourth Thursday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. What will I do at MOPS? MOPS has insightful speakers, helpful demonstrations, small mom-to-mom discussion groups, fun crafts, creative activities, great food, and relaxing fellowship, all of which is under the guidance of Mentor Moms to help you through the Journey of Motherhood.
Is childcare provided during MOPS?
Yes! Quality, loving childcare is provided for children 3 months to five years of age, with a special class just for older home educated children, during the MOPS meeting time. MOPS Kids, as it is called, is designed for children to engage in developmentally appropriate play and educational activities so moms can feel free to enjoy the MOPS activities and meetings. We will provide snacks during your child's time in MOPS Kids (in all classes over age 12 mos.)
Is there a fee?
The MOPS fee for 2018 is $60 for the fall semester. This fee covers the costs of a MOPS International Membership (a requirement) and supplies needed throughout the year.
What’s included in a MOPS membership?
- Circle of women who love each other like family because being a mom is beautiful and hard, and finding hope in the midst is life giving.
- Connect with women who have your back, dry your tears and call you into new adventures.
The Kit …
- A guidebook to help transform your year
- Postcards and prints to spread some love
- A small jewelry item that matches our annual theme
- And, of course, some surprises that’ll cause spontaneous smiles!
The FAITH PATH initiative exists to partner with you as you guide your child’s faith journey one step at a time.
First Baptist Church of San Antonio believes that God designed the family as the primary place for discipleship. Take advantage of the following links for preschool aged kids to begin the process in your family.
Home Dedication (suggested for Birth – 2-year-olds)
This kit helps you make a commitment to raise your child in a Christ-centered home.
Blessing (suggested for 3-year-olds and older)
This kit helps you establish the practice of praying for giving your child a blessing on a routine basis.
Family Time (suggested for 4-year-olds and older)
This kit helps you establish the practice of connecting as a family while passing spiritual truths to your child.
Preparing to Lead Your Child to Christ (age ranges will vary)
Even though we make this kit available to parents of children ages five and above, few children are ready to fully understand the gospel or make a faith decision at such a young age. Use this material to prepare yourself to be ready when your child expresses interest.
